•Create a space that is welcoming to residents, daily commuters and visitors

•Design public art that complements I-35/Lake Street Transit Station, the Green Crescent wave wall, and the Midtown Greenway

•Celebrate the cultural diversity of the area

•Orientate people by having emphasis on wayfinding

•Encourage movement

•Provide additional lighting for safety

•Ensure that the artwork is durable and can withstand Minneapolis climate and urban environment
